Skymate Travel Ltd ("Skymate", "we", "us", "our") is a New Zealand travel company founded to simplify and enhance your travel experience through expert guidance, curated tours, and competitive pricing. By using our website or making a booking, you agree to these Terms of Service.
All bookings are subject to availability and supplier confirmation. Prices displayed are indicative and may change until a booking is fully confirmed and payment has been processed.
A booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation email from Skymate containing your booking reference number. Please check all details carefully upon receipt and contact us immediately if anything is incorrect.
When you make a booking on behalf of other travellers, you confirm that you have obtained their consent to provide their personal information and to agree to these terms on their behalf.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Any bookings made while signed into your account will be linked to your account dashboard and visible under My Bookings.
You must not share your account with others or allow others to use your account to make bookings. Skymate reserves the right to suspend accounts that are misused.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Skymate does not store card details on our servers. By proceeding with a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Prices are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated. Additional bank fees, currency conversion charges, or surcharges may apply depending on your payment method.
For group bookings over $2,000 NZD, a deposit of 20% may be arranged. Please contact us to discuss group payment arrangements.
Many tours, hotels, vehicles, flights, and packages offered through Skymate are provided by independent third-party suppliers. By making a booking, you acknowledge that the relevant supplier's own terms and conditions will also apply to your booking.
Skymate acts as an agent or intermediary for these suppliers and is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, or negligence of any such supplier, or for personal injury, death, property damage, or other damages resulting from supplier services.
Cancellation and change rules vary by product and supplier. The specific policy applicable to your booking will be shown during checkout and in your booking confirmation email.
As a general guide:
Skymate strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations, medical costs, and personal belongings.
You are responsible for ensuring you hold valid travel documents (passport, visa, permits) required for your trip. Skymate accepts no liability for costs arising from inadequate documentation.
You must inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or accessibility needs relevant to your booking at the time of booking.
Skymate welcomes travellers aged 14 to 100. Some tours have minimum age requirements -these are stated on the relevant tour pages. Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless otherwise arranged.
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Skymate's liability to you in connection with any booking or service is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
Skymate is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages of any kind arising from your use of our services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
